target market determinations

A Target Market Determination (TMD) describes the types of consumers for whom the product has been designed.

A TMD is not an exhaustive summary of a product’s terms and conditions and it’s not intended to provide financial advice. It does not take your personal circumstances into account. Please refer to the Product Disclosure Statement (PDS) and any supplementary documents for a product when making a decision about a product.

All distributors of Active Super products are required by law to report on any complaints they receive regarding the design, features, availability and distribution of the product.

TMD reporting:

  • must be provided when one or more complaints are raised in a period
  • must be provided on a quarterly basis; and
  • should be issued within 14 days after 31 March, 30 June, 30 September and 31 December.

To help with reporting, a report template can be found here.
