Active Super launches Super Booster reward program

New ‘set and forget’ reward program gives members a top-up on super balances with every eligible purchase

Sydney, 21 June 2022: Active Super has launched a Super Booster reward program to boost members’ super balances when shopping instore and online at more than 250 retail partners across 2000 locations around Australia.

The new ‘set and forget’ reward program will enable members to receive a percentage of the purchase value added to their super balance when shopping at retail partners.^ Percentages range from 2 to 25 percent of the value of the transaction. The cash top-up is paid for by retailers, not members.

Active Super has launched the program in partnership with fintech Loyalty Boomerang, and is the only super fund with exclusive rights to the program for 12 months.

The rapidly growing list of retail partners includes The Iconic, BWS, General Pants, Forever New, Glue and Pizza Hut.^^  Additionally, members can continue to claim other rewards such as frequent flyer points on the same transactions.

Chantal Walker, Chief Member Experience and Growth Officer for Active Super,  said: “We’re excited to be giving back to our members by launching the Super Booster initiative in partnership with Loyalty Boomerang and some of Australia’s most popular retailers.

“What makes Super Booster simple is that it is a ‘set and forget’ program, meaning our members can use it on the go, in-store or online, and get rewarded.

"The Active Super Booster is hassle-free, requiring little effort from members to redeem their rewards. They do not have to scan a loyalty card or log onto a website, so members can boost their super balance easily and simply.”

Super Booster is available to all Active Super members who just need to nominate one or more (up to five) debit or credit cards to get started.

Active Super has estimated that the average member could add more than $150* to their balance annually through Super Booster. Over a 20-year period this would give retirees an estimated additional $5000** on their superannuation balance.

Ms Walker added: “We saw a real opportunity to build a much greater level of engagement with our members, especially women, around superannuation by rewarding them and making super contributions a part of their day-to-day lifestyle.

“Active Super is committed to providing our members with a best-in-class experience every time we interact with them. We are proud to be driving better retirement outcomes by encouraging more Australians to top up their super every time they shop.”
