Active Super launches new portal and app to enhance the member digital experience

Sydney, 12 October 2021: Active Super has launched a new member online portal and native app to enhance the digital experience for members following the fund’s decision to rebrand earlier this year.

By providing superior functionality and a streamlined design, the changes will make it easier for members to manage their superannuation online. Active Super has also increased the security measures to protect personal data from unauthorised access, including multi-factor authentication (MFA) to access the portal and app. 

Active Super partnered with administrator Link Group to deliver this innovative multichannel experience for members and is the first of Link’s clients to launch this initiative. 

Chief Digital and Marketing Officer Chantal Walker said: “Active Super is proud to be the first to launch the new member-friendly platform using Sitecore CMS and Okta MFA. 

“Our decision to rebrand as Active Super in May was part of a broader ambition to transform Local Government Super into a modern, mobile-first digital enterprise. This move underscores that commitment to deliver an improved member experience by overhauling the multichannel engagement platform and by upgrading our app with increased security and personalised functionality.” 

The new native mobile app has the same functionalities as the new member online portal with a secure and seamless experience that allows members to access their super with the touch of a finger. The app features Face ID access as well as a Quick View functionality that enables members to view their balance and latest contribution on their home screen.

  • Make additional contributions   
  • Find lost super and combine other super accounts  
  • Switch investment options   
  • Review insurance  
  • Generate Centrelink/DVA schedule  
  • Request pension payment  
  • View latest pension payment, member statements and beneficiaries 
  • Multi-factor authentication (MFA)
